Program Overview	Discover the theory and practice of molecular biology and genetics, along with cutting-edge molecular technologies used to diagnose diseases related to genetic changes in human cells.	Investigate microbes (bacteria, parasites, molds, yeasts, and viruses) that cause human infectious diseases and understand the transmission, epidemiology, symptoms, diagnostic tests, treatment, and prevention of human pathogens.
Certification Opportunities	Completing this minor makes students eligible for the ASCP Technologist in Molecular Biology board of certification exam as well as other national certification exams.
