Betselot Zelalem, BSHS ’20, chose to enroll in the Medical Laboratory Sciences Program at GW because it combined her interest in the molecular level of science and medicine.
“My experience with the GW faculty and staff has been phenomenal,” Zelalem said. “In my first semester at GW, the director gave me her phone number; this shows you how passionate the faculty are in their student’s success.”
“The faculty truly want the best for their students… their commitment and passion have molded me into the hardworking, diligent scientist I am today. I have gained leadership and critical skills that I will use not only in the workforce, but also in my personal life. I am incredibly grateful and will cherish all the memories I had at my time at GW.”
Zelalem is a scientist at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
